Giving a good album requires a strenuous effort from the composer. But giving it in the very first debut album is nothing short of a great achievement and such is the rare distinction Devi got. He has shown the world what he is capable of by entering the music world with a bang with his debut album Mr.Devi which contains 8 songs. Dinka Chika Devi on a high – TOI

Music director Devi Sri Prasad has the nation dancing to his tunes with the B-town remix of his Telugu hit track,Ringa RingaRinga Ringa Prasad has a new title now Dinka Chika Devi.The peppiest music composer in Tollywood,Devi Sri Prasad is now creating waves

after he repackaged his hit,Ringa Ringa from Arya 2 as Dinka Chika in the S

alman Khanstarrer Ready. He talks about the song that got him instant fame nationally.When I performed to Ringa Ringa in Mumbai,Salman came backstage and hugged me.He told me he liked it so much that he kept listening to it on loop.Even music director Preetham told me I created a monster with

this song, says a beaming Devi,who initially wanted to use the words Ringa Ringa in the Hindi version too.

But since it was already popular,we modified it to Dhinka Chika, he adds.This song,which is number one on the charts now,is not Devis first mass hit.His song,Aaa Ante Amalapuram is popular in UP and Bihar.Musician Baba Sehghal was once surprised to hear the track being played in a night club in Ams

terdam.I use familiar buzz words which are catchy, says Devi,who is apparently charging a cool 1.5 crore for every film.They wont pay me if Im not in demand.All I can say is,its a good rumor, he quips.If Bollywood is in Dinka

Devi,who has even penned quirky lyrics for songs like Akalesthe Annam Pedatha (I will feed you when youre hungry ).I wrote the lyrics when I was hungry and it soon became an anthem, he quips.Devi has his eyes set on acting too.My fans keep asking me to act in movies.But if I ever do one,my role should be convincing.It should be a musical film like Western musicians star in, he adds.
