‘Alex Pandian’: Audio to be out on 12/12/12 !

The audio launch of ‘Alex Pandian‘ has been confirmed for Superstar Rajinikanth‘s birthday, falling on the 12th of December. It happens to fall on the special date, 12-12-12, which is being considered as something significant by many. The music of the film has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad, who has come up with peppy numbers for films like ‘Singam’ and ‘Villu’ in the past.

The name of the film, ‘Alex Pandian’, is close to Rajinikanth as it was the name of the character in Moondru Mugam. His role won him the Tamil Nadu Government Award for Best Actor in 1982. Now, 20 years later, Alex Pandian features Karthi and Anushka in the lead.

Following the success of ‘Siruthai’, the film is expected to be a mass entertainer. It also includes Santhanam whose comedy in ‘Siruthai’ with Karthi went on to become a rage among fans. DSP is likely to have come up with some peppy numbers for the film, with Karthi himself appreciating the composer for his work.

Singham-2 update !

The film Singam had Surya, Anushka and Vivek in the cast turned out to be a super hit. Seeing the success of this film, it was remade in Hindi which had Ajay Devgan in the lead role. Hari after seeing the good reception of Singam is readying story for Part 2 of Singam. Only the song sequences in Hari films will be shot in foreign locations but for the first time the song sequences and the climax sequences are to be shot in South Africa and Nigeria. It is understood that Singam 2 will take one more step forward in his career.

Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for the sequel too.

DSP for Karthi’s next project

Alex Pandian stars Karthi and Anushka in the lead and is said to be a complete commercial entertainer in the lines of Suraaj’s earlier flicks like Thalainagaram and Maappillai. The film also has two villains – Bollywood actor-cum-model Milind Soman and Suman (of Sivaji fame). The film also stars comedian Santhanam, who made a terrific team with Karthi in Siruthai.
The film’s music is being scored by Devi Sri Prasad who is said to have come up with some peppy tunes for the film.
