He’s 32 years old and has already reached the top of the musical charts several times. Devi Sri Prasad gets a pay cheque of Rs 1 crore per film and he’s got himself a reputation as a ladies’ man. The firebrand composer refuses to let rumours cow him down. “l will be friendly with any actor I please,” says the Gen X composer who accepts actors Mamta Mohandas, Charmi and Swati as his good friends but rubbishes rumours about marrying Charmi.

If you go by his alleged link-ups, he is the most flamboyant personality in T-town. “Most people think I party all night long as well as during the weekends,” says Devi Sri Prasad. The truth he claims is that he has so much work that he has no time to even “eat or sleep properly”. His long-time bond with Punjabi kudi Charmi has resulted in rumours of them getting married. “That’s not true because she is nothing more than a good friend and also I haven’t given marriage a thought. My parents are pestering me to settle down but right now my focus is work. Given a choice, many married guys would like to become bachelors again,” he smiles.

He launched actor Swathi as a singer in 100% Love. “She is one of my close friends, but I discovered she has a sweet voice so I made her sing. People speculated we were involved because we performed on stage together several times,” he reasons. On his special skill of discovering talent only in pretty damsels, he smiles and says, “Even Tamil star Vikram sang for me.” Nonetheless, he likes to enjoy his life on his terms and will continue to be “friendly with whomever he wants to be with.”

He adds, “Take it or leave it. Nothing can stop me from letting my hair down at select dos.” As long as his parents and friends trust him, it’s all right, he says. The composer carries the same attitude even in his professional life. “I will do only films that give me the freedom to innovate as I did with Jr NTR in Ooseravelli,” he informs. The composer who belted out chartbusters in Mr Perfect and 100% Love is not threatened by other composers like Thaman. “I send appreciative messages for the tunes composed by my colleagues Mani Sharma and Harris Jayaraj,” he says.

The southern composer stormed B-town with Zinka Zikka in Ready and Salman Khan showered praises on him. “It was a debut for me in B-town and now I am flooded with offers. Next year, I’ll take up a big Bollywood film since right now I am tied with Nagarjuna and Allu Arjun’s films,” he informs.

Tamannah got two projects in this year with Devi Sri Prasad as the music director for 100% Love in Telugu and Venghai in Tamil both of which turned out to be blockbusters. It seems that Tamannah has become a fan of DSP after the superhit albums he gave for her movies. When asked about DSP, “I am a huge fan of Devi’s. He is one of those who compose for the sheer love of music and not just for a living. He loves music and I respect him for that. There is soul to his music. It is consistent and of a particular standard. I like the songs Yenna Solla Pore and Kaalangathale from Vengai. They suit the mood of the film and people will like them”,says Tamannah.

If  it is comes to praising then Devi totally deserves it as Dhinka Chika finds its place on the charts. Even before it’s release, the Bollywood has been struck by the Ringa Ringa wave. The Bollywood might find an extra ‘energy’ boost to their music department as Devi hints on his B’town debut.

Recently in an interview with the  indiaglitz  about his success on Dhinka Chika(Click Here),he said…

Thanks to all the  people here who have received Dhinka Chika well and made this a success. After Composing the song I have got many offers from Bollywood. But as I have been busy with many Telugu and Tamil projects, I could not signup any project yet in Bollywood.  I am very excited that my music is being connected with happiness. I am getting lot of offers in hindi. And I think this is the right time to take a right film. And hope you love my music.

So get ready B’town here is a dynamite about to explode !
